This Sunday we have reached the “E” in Disciples. The “E” stands for Exemplifying the Character of Christ.
There are many ways that this topic could be approached, but for this week we will be taking a broader, overview of not only the “E” in disciples but what Discipleship looks like from a Wesleyan emphasis.
The title of this week’s message is “Becoming Who You Are”. Sounds puzzling at first glance but there is much to be said about Becoming Who You Are.
Can you figure out who you are? Need a hint? What is the letter e referring to? You got it, it refers to being a born-again follower of Jesus.
What’s with becoming what you already are? What do you think it means? Think about who you are in Christ positionally as compared to how you are in reality and practically.
All our sins have been forgiven yet we still sin all the time. Time does not allow us on Sunday to delve into the book of 1 John but if you have time look at least at 1 John chapter 3.
What are the key thoughts that the apostle John are presenting in this book, especially chapter 3. How do these thoughts relate to Becoming Who You Are?
If you want to get to the heart of Sunday’s message google, “What is John Wesley’s Royal Way?”.
I look forward to sharing with you what I feel God has placed on my heart as it pertains to being a fully, devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
