Missing Ladder
Our 12-foot step ladder has gone missing. It is marked "Pruden" in red letters. If you know where it might be or have any information, please contact me at jeremy@transformtbay.com. |
Be A BereanPersecutor to Preacher Undoubtedly, one of the most influential people in the New Testament is the apostle, Paul. But Paul didn’t start didn’t start off on the right foot at all. Before his transformation, Paul—then known as Saul—was a man who caused great harm. He was a persecutor by every account, leaving behind a trail of damage and fear. But Paul was transformed. If anyone woke up with shame, it was Paul. If anyone ever doubted, they could be used by God in a mighty way, it was him. This Sunday, we’ll open our Bibles and look closely at the story of Saul’s transformation on the road to Damascus. You can find this powerful moment in Acts 9, and additional reflections on it in Acts 22, Acts 26, Galatians 1–2, and Philippians 3:1–14. I invite you to read these passages and immerse yourself in Saul’s story. You might also want to look at 2 Corinthians 12, where Paul talks about the thorn in his flesh. In fact—there's so much of Paul's writing you could read 13 New Testament books to grasp a fuller picture of Paul’s life! (Okay—just joking.) But I do encourage you to marvel at the goodness of God in Paul’s story. The truth is, many of us might not be Christians today if it weren’t for Paul’s life and ministry. If God could work through someone like Paul, just imagine what He can do through people like us. Looking forward to worshiping with you this Sunday! With Love, Jeremy
