Registration is full with 50 campers! This does not include those who plan to visit during the daytime.

There are 17 parties (units) registered representing 50 people.

Check-in is 2:00 p.m. on August 14th. Check-out is 2:00 p.m. August 16th.

When checking in at the main office, you are staying at site 305, booked under Lauren Hiebert.

There will be no fee for the campsite, but there will be a parking fee of 15.00 - 20.00 dollars per day.

We will be holding a celebration of life for Jessie Anderson at Grace Place on August 22nd. Everyone is welcome to attend. 

Grace Place is located at 235 Simpson Street.

This weekend, we take a giant time leap from the story of Jonah. God comes in human form on planet Earth. Jesus, the one who will save his people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21)

We will take some time to look over the story of Jesus being tested and tempted in the wilderness. We will also look at the story just following this, where Jesus reads from the Scroll of Isaiah in the Nazareth synagogue. (Luke 4 & Matthew 4, Mark 1)

Reflecting back from the very beginning of the summer, here's some thoughts to bring with you into this story.

God has promised to Abraham that in Abraham, all the nations of the earth will be blessed, but Abraham's family has failed.

God has promised that in the chosen people of Israel, there will be a kingdom of priests but the people of Israel have failed.

God has promised to David that on David's throne, there will be a king forever, but David's kingdom has failed miserably.

Notice in the early chapters of Luke, notice the names Abraham and David. Notice how Jesus is called David's son.

Do you notice a similar pattern in this testing story to Genesis 1, 2, and 3?

We all know John 3:16, but as we look at the big story, we should be reminded of this: "God so loved the world that he chose Abraham and created Israel. For it would be through Israel that he would give his own Son, the Messiah, for the world’s salvation." - Christopher Wright

The Meal Ministry is looking for more volunteers who are willing to occasionally prepare a meal for individuals and families in our TC church family during times of need.

Joining the volunteer roster does not mean you'll be expected to cook every time a need arises. When meals are needed, an email will be sent to everyone on the volunteer list with the requested delivery dates. If you're available, you can sign up for a date that works for you. If not, there's no obligation.

Our goal is to have enough volunteers so the opportunity to serve can be shared among many people. This ministry has been a great blessing to the families we've served, and we'd love to continue supporting our church family in this way.
