Kid's ministry launches this Sunday!  Pastor Gene will be praying a blessing over the kids. We are looking forward to a great year for the kids. 

And he said to them, “Let the little children come to me (Jesus), and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them." Matthew 10:14b-16

Come down to the cafe after the service this Sunday to meet Life Group leaders and to sign up for a life group. Let's get connected.  Our goal is for all of us to become part of a life group. Life groups are community. Community is vital in the journey of knowing Jesus.

Is there some event or study topic you are interested in? We have a survey to find out what you are hoping to participate in. Help the church leadership in planning to strengthen our church community! The survey has many ideas listed but there is also opportunity to suggest new ones. After the service see Sanna and Ralph in the cafe for a copy of the survey.

You have until Sunday Sept. 22 to provide your input.

Don't you love clean? We are having a fall deep clean at the church on September 21st starting at 10:30 AM. We are looking for help. Availabe for one hour? Come! Available for half a day? Come! We will be there from 10:30 AM till done.

In our current study of what it means to be DISCIPLES of Jesus, we will this week consider “Infilled with the Holy Spirit”

We are commanded (this is not a suggestion as a nice idea)in Eph. 5:18 to “Be filled with the Spirit.“

And 2 Cor 3:17 tells us “… where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

The Holy Spirit is not a luxury option such as leather seats in a car, but a necessity – as the engine of the car. A car without an engine has no life and a human being without the Spirit has no spiritual life.

This week we will look at a brief overview of the Holy Spirit’s ministry, and then consider four aspects of the Holy Spirit’s life and ministry to us as the Children of God. FRUIT, FIRE, FREEDOM, FAITH. 

Why don’t you read Romans 7:4-6 and Galatians 5:22,23 in 2 or 3 different translations in preparation for Sunday, when we will seek to understand a little bit about the wonder of the Holy Spirit’s life and ministry.  Jesus undoubtedly surprised his followers when he said to them in John 16:7,8  “I am telling you the simple truth when I assure you that it is a good thing for you that I should go away. For if I did not go away, the divine helper would not come to you. But if I go, then I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convince the world of the meaning of sin, of true goodness and of judgment.”  On the day of Pentecost, the Gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out, and since that day He has been here to indwell all who are children of God.
