Worship and Prayer TonightFriday, November 29th 7:00 PM Tonight, we will gather to worship and pray together. In breakout groups we will give thanksgiving. God has blessed us richly! We will view a short video of God's transforming, reviving work in the Hebrides Islands (Scotland) in the mid 1900s, where nearly every family on the islands was touched by the power of God. We will pray for our city based on Isaiah 62:4. “Never again will you be called “The Forsaken City” or “The Desolate Land.” Your new name will be “The City of God’s Delight” and “The Bride of God,” for the LORD delights in you and will claim you as his bride.” We will pray for loved ones who have yet to experience the saving, transforming power of God in their lives. We will lift our voices in praise. Come and join your heart and voice with us as we cry out to our compassionate God. |

Be A Berean
Advent is here and Christmas is only a few short weeks away. It’s no longer that middle space where you delay putting decorations up, pushing play on the Spotify Christmas playlist, or maybe even Christmas shopping because it’s November for Pete’s sake. Whether you like being early to the party or you are just trying to make it through the season, it is a time where we can be reminded of Christ being born into the world. The world did not know it yet, but this baby was to be a king. But what was expected to be a king dressed in royal purple, instead was a King that was born humbly in a manger with a rag tag group around him. This was hardly royalty in this day, but it was the beginning of Hope. The beginning of a story and message that would change the world forever. This Hope was not a hope for a “Make Israel great again”, or some “New Way forward for the Middle Class”. Jesus was not looking to instill trust and hope in the political system or plan of that day. It was to invite people to engage in an entirely different way of doing life. To invite them into a relationship with a God who loves them deeply. Jesus did not come for political power but to give eternal Hope. Suggested reading Isaiah 7 Blessings, Jeremy, Caleb and Gene |
